Very soft bed and good position...
Not the best in terms of hygiene
We were given a suite which was absolutely amazing! It was disappointing that we were staying only one night!
The email confirming the booking did not give a precise address or location for the hotel and we walked for ages around Merrion Square before asking in one of the other O'Callaghan hotels for help!
The hotel is in a good location - quiet area yet only 10 mins from Dublin city center by foot and the Aviva stadium. The room is spacious and clean, has a great shower. Hotel staff in particular the receptionist and manager are very helpful.
There was no mini bar or ice machine facilities lcoated in the room or on the floor
The best thing about the hotel was the reception staff who were very helpful, professional and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast was quite poor although not too expensive. Minimal choice of fresh fruit and cereals/yogurts, tea/coffee was served a cup at a time rather than a pot being left at the table so you had to sit and wait for top-ups instead of being able to help yourself when it suited. The toaster didn't really toast so had to wait ages, putting it through 2 or 3 times! Quality of food served was OK (except for the processed cheese slices) but you get much better choice all round at a Premier Inn!
Convenience of being downtown close to Transportation. Able to walk to Fleet St. Trinity College and other locations. Marcin and Michael, very helpful front desk and bar area.
I have a large complaint that we were charged an excessive amount on the May 17th night versus the rate for the 15th and 16th. The rate was increased 70 Euros. Normally when booking 3 nights there is a lower rate versus staying one night. I would appreciate knowing the details on why this occured.
The hotel was lovely, the room was big and very clean, the hotel is in a great location, the staff were nice and helpful and we would stay there again, I also got a great deal on Booking .com,
The only fault with the hotel was the noise of the air- conditioning at night, we turned it off but could still hear from other rooms, not a major issue as we only stayed for one night, bearing in mind I am a light sleeper.
excellent value for the location: on a quiet street
i didnt have breakfast there so cant comment on that
Very nice king size bed, and a great location, and lovely room.
Very disappointed in the service provided by reception staff - very unfriendly and unhelpful, we were made to feel like we were causing the receptionist too much bother by checking in, and also in settling the bill. (loud sighs and curses muttered under her breath!) It is only for this reason that I wouldn't recommend it to anyone - would advise to try some of the other O Callaghan hotels instead.
The central location is fantastic. The hotel staff were very helpful and the price was very reasonable.
location, cleanliness, space.I was delighted with the parking.
Huge comfortable bed
Somw staff could have been more welcoming.
All of the staff were very friendly, lovely hotel
This hotel was good value for money and the beds were great. Clean rooms, great location and very little noise all night. We will stay here again.
Convenience to start and finish of Dublin city marathon.
On Sunday morning, Oct 28th, I placed the do not disturb sign on my door but the cleaners came into my room anyway and ignored the sign. On Tuesday morning Oct 30th, the cleaners kept banging on my door at 9:30am to get me out. On Tuesday morning, I went to collect my car from the parking area down the street a d the machine would not take €50 notes so had to walk back up the street again to get change. When I went back down I needed a new code to get back in again so I had to walk back up to the hotel again to get that sorted. The girl in reception should have known all of this. I was not impressed by this at all.
Pretty much nothing
I have travelled a lot and this is without a doubt the worst value for money hotel I have ever encountered. 240€ per night for a 2 star quality hotel. The furniture was old, the room smelt bad, the bathroom was from another era, no internet, decoration was terrible and all in all a hotel that should cost less than a third of what it did, on better days.
